Charlie was raised in Hamlin, Texas and moved to Abilene in 1969 to attend McMurry University. In 1971 he married Marsha Hester and they began their family when their daughter, Jennifer, was born followed by their son, James.
Charlie earned a degree from McMurry in Business Administration in 1973. He began working in Abilene for Crawford Firestone in 1973. His construction career began in 1980 with Associated Contractors Inc. He was the expediter for Rose and Sons Construction, on the First State Bank building in Abilene, a 40 million dollar plus project. He joined Associated Contractors ,a local general contractor, in 1980 as a salesman and in 2002 bought the business.
With over 38 years of construction experience he has successfully managed a variety of projects in Abilene and in the West and Central Texas areas, as well as projects in Oklahoma. The most recent projects include office and maintenance facilities for the many wind farm companies starting up in Texas, mini-storage buildings, office and gas plant buildings for major oil and gas companies in Texas and Oklahoma.
Charlie's sound character and business ethics have won the trust and confidence not only of his customers but also from the suppliers, skilled trade contractors, architects and engineers he works with. His reputation for quality work and fair and honest dealings has earned him repeat business from satisfied customers both large and small.

James has been working in the construction business with his father since the age of sixteen. Graduated class of 1996 at Cooper High School and is a proud graduate of Tarleton State University. He has gained valuable insight, knowledge and practical first-hand experience working for his father. James has furthered his knowledge by attending various seminars on building construction and new building products. Most recently he passed the stringent New Mexico contractors license exam. And he will be happy to help you plan and design your next building project.

Dewayne started his career in the construction industry at the age of 16 in Tullahoma TN. He joined the United States Air Force in February of 1991 where he continued working on large construction projects while serving in the Civil Engineering Squadron and Red Horse Squadrons at different military bases around the US, both as permanent party and numerous temporary duty locations constructing various war time and peace time projects around the globe.
Dewayne received his Community College of the Air Force degree in construction technologies while he was serving in the armed forces. Between civilian and military service he has worked in the construction industry since 1985, or 33 years. He has attended and taught numerous hours of safety classes and attended several advanced/continued education training classes over the years. He has also completed many hours of leadership training, public speaking, and public relations training.
Dewayne has been employed by Associated Contractors Inc. since he and, his wife Lori, separated military service with an honorable discharge in June of 1998. Dewayne has served as superintendent, and senior project manager where he is responsible for project scheduling, material accusation, subcontractor management, equipment requirements, public relation, safety enforcement, project supervision, etc.
Dewayne has estimated, scheduled, and managed millions of dollars in construction projects all around the state of Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, as well as many other areas of the world while serving our great Country in the United States Air Force.
